Family Hope international
Our purpose is to provide hope for the people of Liberia through education and relationship in Jesus name
WHAT WE DO
We take free public education for granted, but in Liberia almost all students must pay to attend school. In addition, they must buy uniforms and supplies and get to school on their own – no school busses! For many families, the cost of sending multiple children to school can be difficult if not impossible.
Schools have re-opened since the Ebola outbreak, yet many families have had to deal with rising food cost, loss of income, and in some cases, loss of their primary financial provider because of Ebola. Compare with food, clothes and shelter, school becomes a distant priority.
Education however, is crucial to the future of Liberia and it’s people. Without it the vicious cycle of poverty continues.

WHO WE ARE
Working to build a better Liberia
Family Hope International was birth from the desire of Morris Gbolo and Issac Davis – Liberian natives and Ray Lyons and George Riess, to see renewed hope and change in the lives of those deeply affected by civil war.
From 1989 – 2003, Liberia was wrecked by two consecutive civil wars that left hundreds of thousands dead, many more thousands displaced and the infrastructure of Liberia in ruins. Families were torn apart, an entire generation unschooled, and many fled as refugees into neighboring countries.
